Each pebble in this mismatched pair is unique. I spend many hours mudlarking at the low tide on Rock-a-Nore and even longer hours choosing the perfect combination. This pair is the perfect embodiment of a beautiful coincidence and otherworldly patience.

“Philip Larkin famously proposed that what will survive of us is love. Wrong. What will survive of us is plastic, swine bones and lead-207, the stable isotope at the end of the uranioum-235 decay chain.”
Cognitive dissonance in isotropic spaces
Long mismatched stud earrings in silver plated chainmail, quartz pebbles and repurposed vintage coral beads. Stainless steel shafts.

One of my personal favourites, this style is long, assymetric and is built around daisy-chain-like weave. I once found an antique coral necklace which I’ve repurposed in various pieces of jewellery over the years. There are only a couple of beautiful white coral beads remaining now.

Songlines is inspired by the diamond pattern of a Jester costume. Only the fool was allowed to speak the truth to the king. In Tarot he’s a controversial figure - naively plunging into the unknown.

Songlines for the Sea is a blue-eyed cousin of Songlines for the Moor. I created the jester pattern chainmail again but this time using a very rare aqua blue seaglass.

This is a striking pair! Bright green seaglass from Rock-a-Nore and mismatched boxchain. I deliberately made one earring shorter than the other and chose a much larger silver bead to complete the weave.

Size
2cm in length

This small stud earring is designed to be worn as a standalone item, but can easily be combined with other single earrings and ear cuffs. I’m particularly fond of the olive green colour - not as common as the bottle green pieces.

This chainmail weave is known as box-chain, it can hold a bead, a stone or a pebble inside each link. I found pyrite clusters and a couple of tiny round pebbles to complete this symmetric pair.
